DEEP SUMP - A straight forward replacement of the Keihin FCR Carburetor drain plug. The Extra Capacity allows a much improved fuel flow through the main jet.
The filter elements in the base traps any water and dirt which has contaminated the fuel. Deep Sump has been extensively tested by MX world champion Dave Thorpe who uses and really rates the product.
Maintenance:
It is advisable to clean the DEEP SUMP Filter after every 1-2 hours of riding. Depending on conditions- if it is very dusty or wet and muddy then its worth checking after every race, similar to air filter changes.
Simply remove the DEEP SUMP from the bike and empty the contents into a small clean container- an aerosol cap is perfect for this. Using a piece of lock wire or similar carefully hook out the filter element into the container.
You should see any dirt or water collected by the filter. Use either clean petrol or carb spray and wash out the filter and the DEEP SUMP. Replace the filter making sure to push it down to the bottom of the sump and replace on the bike.
